Hi everyone. I am new to the community. I am going to start weight watchers tommorow and am excited about starting a healthy form of dieting. Anyone have any tips for me? I think the hard part is eating before bed, because I am so use to eating not alot in the day and alot at night before bed. I have a ways to go to get to my goal weight. I think once I make it through the first week and lose some, even if it is a lil bit of weight, that it will motivate me to keep going! How much weight did everyone lose their first week?

I am, for the first time in my adult life, in the 'normal' weight / height range. As friend the weight watchers leader put it 'there's no piece of chocolate cake that tastes as good as that'. Oh yeah.

I decided to eat whatever I liked for the trip, including both days I was traveling, because I'd be doing so much dancing that it would be bound to cancel it out and being on weight watchers while on the trip would have been a serious pain. So, despite a week of burgers, pizzas, cheese and mayonnaise, icecream and chocolate, I managed to dance off a pound. Hurray!

I was pretty much to expecting to gain weight this week. I had two bad days points-wise, one of which involved goodness knows how many points in alcohol. I missed one of my dance nights and went late to the other. And the last time I weighed in due a period I hadn't lost weight despite having had a good week. So I wasn't surprised to see that I've gone up a pound since last week. But I was still disappointed.

It was in the canteen in work, by the sandwich bit, which is almost always where I get my lunch. It said 'all mayonnaise based products are made using low fat mayonnaise' or words to that affect. This pleases me greatly :)

Only another 20 to go :). I didn't have that great of a week so I'm pleased I lost anything at all. If I keep going at exactly the rate I was at this past week then I'll hit my goal weight just in time to put it all back on over Christmas ;).
Either way, that's the amount I've lost in total so far on weight watchers. Wonderful stuff. I'm now a quarter of my way to my goal.

How many points do you reckon about 60g of strawberry cheesecake will cost me?
18th-May-2007 01:16 pm - A celebration and a question
This morning, I weighed myself for the first time since joining weight watchers last Friday. I've lost 4 lbs in a week. I'm really pleased.

I also have a question. How many points is a brown baggette without the dough?

The main reason I didn't sign up for Weight Watchers was that I was unwilling to give up an evening a week to go to the meetings. So when I discovered this I signed up pretty much right away.

They sent me out an 'at home' pack almost immediately. I've been following the program since Friday.

I'm quite enjoying the record keeping aspect of it because I like that kind of thing. I'm pretty sure I've been eating healthier and less.

I went to my dance class last night and was shocked to discover that doing so earned me 9 points (though they do say you shouldn't eat more than 6 activity points a day).
